Have you ever been in Ayutthaya? I think most of you know about Ayutthaya as an ancient and historical province of Thailand. It was our main capital in the past also it is the city where has many greatly beautiful Pagodas and temples. Ayutthaya is a popular province of Thailand where many Thai people and foreigners usually like to visit and learn about its history. Most of people are impressed when they have a chance to go there and some are charmed by its old beautiful art and culture. We likely imagine when we see some temple and pagoda as it is in a beautiful form like before.

..........................

Getting to Ayutthaya is easy because it is very near Bangkok. You can go by your own car, train, and bus. In my mind, I would like to suggest you to go by your own car. It is more convenient and private so, you will have more chance to enjoy tripping in Ayutthaya. How far is it from Bangkok? It is only 76 kilometers from Bangkok.

...........................

I invited 3 friends to go with me before we went to Ayutthaya. We got our own car to go there. So, we were more comfortable. My friends and I strated to go there on 9.30 A.M. and then we arrive at Ayutthaya on 10.30 A.M. We decided to use only one car because it could save our fuel's prize and also help the world's energy.

Wat Pra Srisanpetch

The first place I went is Wat Pra Sri Sanpetch. It is very beautiful and interesting place. I spent 1 hour to visit around this temple. I am stunning by its amazing stucture and area when I went around. I would really like you to see in the real place and I am sure that you will say "Wonderful." Wat Pra Srisanpetch was firstly established by King Ramathibodi I,(King U Thong), and it was used as his palace. After that, when it came into the King Boromtrailokkanart period, he built his new palace and gave this area as a religious area. So, it has been called "Wat Pra Srisanpetch ." And the three pagodas behind my picture, it is very important for the history of Thailand. The first pagoda was built by King Ramathibodi II to keep his father's cremains (King Boromtrailokkanart). The middle pagoda was built to keep the cremains of King Borrommaracha III (Phra Chetthathirat). And the third pagoda was built by King Borommaracha IV for keeping his father's cermains or King Borommaracha II.

Wat Mahathat

After I went out from Wat Pra Srisanpetch, I went then to Wat Mahathat. In this temple, I bought my new black hat and wore it as I am like Brad Pitch. In the history of this temple, Wat Mahathat was really an important temple in Ayutthaya period because it was a place of Buddist Supreme Patriarch. Also, it was a center of Ayutthaya to keep Buddha's relics.

"Buddha Head in Tree Roots"

This picture shows really about a historical and precious heritage of Autthaya "The Buddha Head in Tree Roots" which is also in Wat Mahathat. It is a special thing which attracts the visitors and make them surprise. As in this picture, when I was taking its photo, I heard a foriegn couple saying that "It is very amazing." I saw them like they were shocked and enchanted by its amazing and beauty. As I am Thai, I feel pround for this admiration. Personally, this is my first chance that I can see it closely from my eyes.

Wat Ratchaburana

Then, I went to Wat Ratchaburana which is near with Wat Mahathat. Today, many foreigners came to visit this place. As you see, I still wore my new hat because I thoght it was appropriate with me. However, it was late afternoon so it was quite hot but not too much. I spent about 40 minutes to visit this place. It looks very old but still beautiful. Wat Rachaburana is one of the most ancient temple in Ayutthaya. It was built by King Borommarachathirat II (Chao Sam Phraya). In Wat Ratchaburana, it was famously discovered some precious gold in Ayutthaya period by The Fine Arts department. And now, it is kept in Chao Sam Phraya National Museum. So, if you would also like to see some precious and rare gold in Ayutthaya period, you can go directly to there.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram

The last temple I went is Wat Chaiwatthanaram. This time was about 16.00 p.m and there were still many people. The sunlight gradually disappeared and began into late evening. Including, the soft wind blowing on me made I had to sit and felt comfortable with the atmosphere. I spend almost an hour to visiting here. This temple is very beautiful and quite big like Wat Pra Mahathat. Historically, Wat Chaiwatthanaram was built by King Prasat Thong. It is located on the west bank of Chao Phraya River and south west of Ayutthaya. Wat Chaiwatthanaram has its construction which is different with the other temples in Ayutthaya. I can say that this temple is one of all beautiful temples that you should not miss. I quitely suggest that you should go to here on the evening because it was not too hot and you can also sit or rest on the large lawn around here (like my picture).

...............................................

In summary, Ayutthaya still remains in its beautiful and historical style. It involves in our history which shows us about our old city which was very powerful and flourish and traditional. 33 kings and 5 dynasties were in Ayutthaya period. Before we are here conveniently, our ancestor had to fight hardly for the country. Under its beauty was hidden by the bravery of our ancestor. Unity and love which they had for the country made us have today.

...............................................

I was lucky to have a chance to see the ancient city which is important for the history of Thailand. It was the great day that I could see and learn about Thailand’s history in detail. I shall never forget this experience. How about you? Would you like to experience the feeling of being the first and the feeling of being one with Time? If your answer is positive, then .... welcome to Ayutthaya.
